Run by Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR), the lodge's strategic location within the park gate at Sossusvlei ensures that guests have early access to the dunes, allowing entry before the main park gate opens.

Sossus Dune Lodge offers professional guided tours, fully unleashing the beauty and biological diversity of the desert environment to visitors. Additionally, it offers some of the most comfortable accommodations in the desert, ensuring a restful and enjoyable stay.

Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) introduced Sossus Dune Lodge in June 2007, marking it as the initial lodge within the Namib-Naukluft Park. To date, it stands as one of just two accommodations within the park gates at Sossusvlei — the other being Dead Valley Lodge, a privately-run luxury tented camp in collaboration with NWR .
