Namibia Wildlife Resorts launched Sossus Dune Lodge in June 2007, it was the first lodge inside the Namib-Naukluft Park and remains one of only 2 places to stay inside the park gates at Sossusvlei (the other being Dead Valley Lodge which is a luxury tented camp run privately but in partnership with NWR).
Sossus Dune Lodge is built in an environmentally sensitive manner, and the guest rooms are built primarily from wood, canvas and thatch. The attractive 'afro-village' style design at Sossus Dune Lodge offers guests an evocative and life changing experience as part of their trip to Namibia.
There are twenty three (23) dune chalets at Sossus Dune Lodge with twin beds sleeping 2 people in each chalet, and two (2) honeymoon chalets. All rooms or chalets are equipped with fans and tea and coffee stations, with a small fridge. Towels and basic toiletries are provided for the en-suite bathrooms which form part of each chalet.
Breakfast is included in room and chalet prices at Sossus Dune Lodge.
