The ephemeral rivers in Namibia span the land like arteries of life. Most of these rivers are rarely seen with water, as most of the water flow beneath the sandy surface. The Uniab is an almost 120 km long dry riverbed, but close to where the Palmwag Campsite is, it emerges as a constant source of life and attract wild animals from far and wide.
Camping at Palmwag Camping
The 13 campsites of this peaceful space on the banks of the Uniab river – which doesn’t often flow above ground - are each equipped with its own power-point, light, wash basin and fireplace. Shared ablution facilities are available and the two swimming pools, restaurant and bar at the Palmwag Lodge are open to campers.
